October was pretty laid back, but at the end of the month we had quite a few Halloween parties.
Jay's mom came for a visit for a week during Halloween which was good and bad. Good for all the fun parties and cause we love Grandma, bad because we all got sick right when she was here. :( I'm just glad she didn't get it cause this cold has lasted weeks. Bleh.
The Friday before Halloween, we visited our neighbor's work for a
Halloween party. We went with Jane, Ryan and Amelia, and the kids had fun playing some games, decorating their treat bags, and playing bingo. I tried dressing Claire up as Jessie to go along with Jack's Woody costume, but Claire would not keep her wig on. So much for that. (And she got a tooth up top and it was too prominent to make her a vampire.)
On October 30 Jack's preschool had a Halloween party and they got to dress up, went trick or treating in class, and then had snacks.
That night was our ward's Trunk or Treat. This was Brenda's first Trunk or Treat, and she got a kick out of how many adults actually went around getting candy. Our ward is definitely unique!
Brenda and I tagged teamed our pumpkin carving. She cleaned the pumpkin out and I carved it. We used Claire as our teeth model since her smile is hilarious with her snaggletooth.

On Halloween, we drove a few minutes from our place to park over by a neighborhood we heard was great for trick or treating. It did not disappoint! The houses were decked out and it was pretty festive. We will be going back next year for sure! Especially since it's so close and traffic in Hollywood on Halloween is the absolute worst!
The neighbor kids on Halloween. They are so cute!!
The best part was Jay got off work in time to go out with us. It was a very happy Halloween!
(doesn't she looked thrilled? Ha!)
