Memory Lane...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember. If we're only blogging friends write about a post that is most memorable.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you....either on your blog, in my comment box, or I will email you one back.
3. If the memory happens to involve my husband, please include him.
4. If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all.

My sister had this on her blog, and I thought it might be fun.

My favorite memories with you are ones spent sitting on Ray's gross green couch or our futon talking about nothing, yet everything for hours on end. Thank goodness we had understanding husbands that would let us visit forever.

Or there's our amazing gospel principals class, or the meetings with the bishop, or the block parties...I could go on and on...

Oh, and don't forget our amazing garage sale!

I remember when you said that no one would want to marry you because you didn't do anything crafty. You always said the funniest things! :) (I hope you don't think this falls under the number four category because I think it's cute.)

I know I wrote this on Adrienne's blog, too, but my most favorite memory of you and your sisters is when you guys would dance for us when we came to visit. I also remember how beautiful and happy you looked on your wedding day.

Remember when we met? I was like 6 months pregnant doing downward doggie in Elizabeth's awesome yoga class on the hard cultural hall floor. I knew you were a sweetie from the start! Oh yeah, and I won't forget telling you and Jay about Scratch. Glad he'll have a place in your family now too! Oh yeah, AND when you were here during the Griffith Park fire and I sent you home with our suitcases so you could evacuate your place and you guys spent the night here. Crazy. And Gilmore Girls. . .and I could go on forever! Yey!

I just thought of the time that you and I made up that floor dance to ABBA"s song "I Have A Dream". That was a good time! We used to do the silliest things together, you and I. :)

I remember when we went to Seth's graduation and the whole drive over you were talking about how all your friends were graduating and you didn't have any friends any more. Then, as soon as we got out of the car, you saw somebody and said, "Oh, hi!" And ran off to be with your hundreds of friends! I also remember when we got to perform together, when I was in the Symphony Orchestra and we played the 1812 Overture and you were in the children's chorus singing with us. I really loved doing that together.

I remember first meeting you at church...you and Jay had come out a few months before us and we both had the goal to find a job - anywhere. For some reason it made it so much easier knowing I wasn't alone in the whole "trying to find my place in the big bad city" thing. I think we've done ok, huh?

Remember when you were little and we had our dog Lacey and she would be laying next to me on the couch and I would convince you to come and pick her up knowing that she would growl at you? I would coax you into picking her up far enough that she would nip at you. I am not sure why I thought that was so amusing - probably just because you would do it time and time again even after getting the same reaction from the dog.

I also remember taking that institute class together while you were in college and I was working at the Buglab. Speaking of the Buglab, remember when you would come in and visit and Chris and Joe would give you and me such a hard time? It seems like the wazzy kwunch was always brought up and ended with, "But Meghan...you haven't had any lllunch" - I can hear Chris saying it now (I am not sure if you remember this but I had to work with him for hours on end and the conversation was frequently replayed for everyone within earshot).

I do remember Chris and Joe, and I had to laugh when I read that. I actually don't remember anything about Lacey other than I would carry her around all the time even though she hated me. I vaguely remember the Institute class. Isn't that sad? Do you remember which one it was?

One memory that comes to mind is the time when you won the History Fair at school and I got to go back to DC with you. We also visited the DC temple while we were there. We could have written the book on 'traveling on a shoestring'.

And remember the river trip down Cataract with your friends and we didn't bring any tents because it was August and we had this huge rainstorm so we crawled under the kitchen table and pulled the tarp over the table to stay dry while we ate dutch oven cobbler? Those were fun memories!
