She's here!!

I am completely behind with Halloween and Thanksgiving photos, but I wanted to post about Claire's arrival before it was weeks after the fact. 

I went into labor in the afternoon on November 24 and she arrived at 3 am on November 25 after two hours at the hospital. She is wonderful and we are so excited she's here and healthy. I'm going to write the whole birth story for my own personal journal but if anyone would like to hear the story, I'll send it to you. I ended up having a natural VBAC so it was pretty intense, but I couldn't have planned it any better if I'd tried so I'm very happy about it.

We were so blessed to have our wonderful friend Holly stay with Jack, even though she has a 4 week old newborn of her own, but since it was Thanksgiving weekend our neighbors were all out of town. Luckily the hospital staff cooperated with us and we were able to leave 13 hours after she was born. Crazy? Maybe, but neither of us were sleeping and we really wanted to be home with Jack and wanted to sleep in our own beds. And I'm glad we did it!

 

My mom left Utah Sunday morning soon after I told her Claire was born to come help us out 

(which was such a blessing) and the day she left to go home, my mother in law had booked a flight to come out for two weeks. So we have lots of help, which I need!!

She pretty much sleeps and eats a little and then sleeps some more. She hardly ever makes noise, let alone cries. She's an angel baby, and she's my little miss!
