First Tooth

It seems like Jack hits big milestones right around his "monthly" birthday. He turned 8 months on Wednesday, and on Thursday I felt a little tooth starting to emerge. For the week before that, he'd been running his tongue along his gums so we weren't too surprised when the tooth finally poked through. That day he didn't even act like it was painful. But the next few nights were a little hard on all of us. Yesterday was better and I don't think he's in pain anymore- for the time being. We think there's another tooth close behind.
He's crawling like a champ and getting into anything he can. Jay has started laying down on the bed with him to read stories at night, and Jack actually stays laying down. I'm so surprised!
He is pulling himself up on so many things and can stand up in his bed- but he hasn't quite figured out how to sit back down yet. And just yesterday I noticed that he was clapping his hands together. I think it's the cutest thing ever. I wonder what 9 months will bring.

That's what I love about the first couple of years. They are growing and changing all the time. It's so fun to watch them reach all those little baby milestones.

Sorry about Jay's ankle...that church ball is a killer.

So cute! Glad he made it through the first tooth. I'm sure he'll have another one before you know it. At least that's how it seems to be around here. And it sounds like it won't be too long before he is walking

Oh my gosh, I barely recognized him in that first picture. He looks so grown up!
