Just Hanging Out

We've been laying low the past couple of weeks while I've been recovering from the c-section. It's so nice to be home and to just take my time to get ready and not need to be anywhere, although at the same time I wonder if I'm wasting the little time I have before I have to go back to work. But I figure having major surgery is a good excuse to just be home and relax for a few weeks, right?

Now that I'm feeling back to my old self- minus some tenderness on my belly- we decided it's time to start doing some fun things. Jack and I had our first play date yesterday with Natalie and Ryan (and of course their moms, Holly and Jane. Ok, so it was really a
play date for us moms). We forgot our camera so unfortunately we don't have any pictures. But here are a few pictures we do have...
Here we all our with our kids. We didn't get a picture of all of us after Natalie was born and before Jack since we only had two days, but we're so happy to have all of the babies here. What wonderful friends we have!
Brian came to visit last week when he was in town for work. You know these two are related since they both put their thumbs under their fingers when they make a fist, instead of on top. Thanks for visiting us, Brian! Jack loves you, even if he was a little fussy that day. :)

I think this is one of Jack's cutest outfits.

Quality Father-Son time

Our goal is to have some adventures and quality family and friend time before I go back to work. So far life with a baby has been pretty wonderful!

Sometimes the first few months feel like one long day.

He's so cute! So what is your plan when you go back to work? I'm still trying to figure that all out because I'm not sure that I'll be able to stay home right away.

Glad to hear you guys are doing well and getting out and about. I am sure you aren't wasting your time during your weeks off of work, although it will probably go faster than you want it to.
