Every year just a few blocks away from our apartment, the LA Dept. of Water and Power put on a Light Festival. The city closes the road to traffic for the first week of the festival so you can stroll along the road and enjoy the lights while listening to Christmas music. Then for the rest of December they open the road up so you can slowly drive through and enjoy them. We went last year for the first time and loved it. We were excited when we could take my mom to see the lights on December 1 to start celebrating Christmas. I think it's awesome we live so close to so many cool things.
