A Fun Filled Saturday

Jay and I were lucky enough to hang out with our wonderful friends Chris, Holly, and Whitney on Saturday. We had a great time. Holly and I spent the morning together while Chris and Jay took care of some business. We then met up for lunch and headed down to the Natural History Museum down by USC. The museum has a small butterfly exhibit behind the building that is open until September, and we wanted to check it out along with the big rose garden that's close by. The flowers were in full bloom and were absolutely beautiful.
The day was a little chilly so the butterflies weren't too active when we got to the exhibit, but it made it a lot easier to take some pictures of them. There are 6 butterflies in these four pictures. Can you find them all?

We finally got a new camera this week (yay!) so I was a little camera happy. Let's just say our new Canon blows our old HP out of the water. I don't know how we used that camera for so long.

It was especially fun to observe Whitney watch all the butterflies and enjoy the rose garden. She is definitely adorable! We ended the day watching "Jaws" and eating pizza. It was a perfect day. Thanks again, Chris and Holly! We love you guys.

You guys have beautiful flowers in LaLa Land! I almost missed the orange butterfly because I first thought it was a flower. But I found them all!

Our camera is a Canon SD870 Powershot. It's small but awesome. Just the way I like it. And it takes pics super fast. Can't beat that! Now I just need to figure out how to use all its features! :)
