For All You Knitters Out There

Ever since I started knitting last April, I've been searching for new projects. I have a couple projects on the backburner for the time being because one of the attorneys I work for is having a baby, and I decided to knit a baby blanket. I found a basket weave pattern online last night, and I'm excited to get started.

It's pretty easy, but I still consider myself a beginner and the easier the better. Not to mention that if the projects go by fast, I can knit more things! I have to admit I never saw myself as a knitter, but as soon as I learned, I was hooked. We have a group of church women that get together once a week to knit and talk. At the beginning of the year, a few of us decided to knit felted bags. One of the ladies in the group has been knitting since she was 4, so she's our knitting expert, and she had created this pattern and let us use it. Here are the two felted bags I have made, and I'm working on a black one for a coworker.

After the blanket and the black felted bag, I want to make a cable purse, a knitting bag to carry all my knitting, and a sweater. We'll see how long it takes me to get those 3 projects done now that I started blogging.

I used to knit a lot. In Germany girls are taught knitting in school (mandatory). I have made many sweaters over the years. I must say that your work is truly impressive. I love the purses. Can I put my order in?

I have such a talented sister! Now I just need to get you to visit long enough to teach me how to knit.
