Utah Trip

In February, we made a trip to Utah to see both families. Jay's youngest brother, Jim, left for Afghanistan with the Army at the end of March, and he had time off in February so all of Jay's family spent a week together before he left. We had a great time being all together, which hasn't happened for a few years. It was long overdue!

Here are just a few of the highlights of our trip:

We were able to go to the Brigham Temple with Jay's siblings, except Deb, Jeison and John (we missed you guys), all thanks to Brenda and Alan's willingness to watch all our kids. Best grandparents ever! We even ate lunch at Maddox's afterwards. Without kids! It was so wonderful!

We took family pictures, and I thought they were pretty good considering it was 34 degrees outside and windy. Much better than our pictures we took back in September.

We met beautiful baby Paige, Erin and Brian's little girl. She's almost a year younger than Claire and so precious. Claire loved her so much!

Jack wowed me with his artistic ability. He painted an ocean scene on a canvas and I hung it up in our bedroom, cause I love it!

My niece Malia was so cute and taught Jack some karate and ninja moves. She even made Jack some certificates for completing the karate belt tests. He was in heaven.

We had a great time, and every time we visit we're sad to leave.
