Before Jim left for Afghanistan, Amanda asked if she could come visit us and take a trip to Disneyland. We of course said yes, and we had a great time with her.
We checked out the Griffith Observatory and saw Jupiter and a few of its moons. We also got to see the International Space Station cross the sky and disappear behind the Earth's shadow. Jack was so thrilled! And I didn't think it was too shabby either.
We made two trips to Disneyland, cause you just can't do enough in one day!
We also went to Santa Monica Pier and the beach since Amanda had never been there. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to show her around Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
We went to the California Science Center and saw the Endeavour Shuttle, which is always so cool. We also played in the discovery areas where I took this awesome picture.
Unfortunately I didn't take too many pictures while she was here, but we were so glad she came to visit!
