Where have the past three months gone? Oh that's right, I've spent it taking care of this little sweet pea (and her adoring brother, of course).
I haven't taken her to the doctor yet so I have no idea how much she weighs, but she's getting chubby. She's given herself a routine, which is great because I wasn't super good with at that when Jack was little. She's taking about 3 naps a day that last an hour, and then going to bed around 8 or 9 and waking up one or two times a night. She likes to sleep on her belly, but hasn't shown much signs of rolling over yet. I think I need to give her more tummy time when she's awake. She's pretty good at falling asleep on her own if she's tired enough when we put her in her bed. I think I'm getting more sleep with her than with Jack. And the good news is that having 4 of us in one bedroom (yup, you read that right) has been a lot better than I had anticipated. She hasn't ever woken anyone up except me, although Jack has woken her up plenty of times in the morning because he always wants her to be awake.
She smiles a lot and is almost laughing. She loves her daddy a lot so he can get her a lot closer to laughing than I can so hopefully I'll have a video to post of it soon. Jack still can't get enough of her and we have to constantly ask him to speak softer and not poke her face or put his feet on her. At least he isn't trying to hurt her though.
Life goes on as usual. Jay went back to work today after having 6 weeks off, which was so wonderful. Hopefully he'll be able to quit his job at Bloomingdale's soon and we can pursue other avenues of employment. In the meantime, I'm trying to find ways to entertain Jack in our little apartment (I haven't dared run errands on my own with these two, and we are 3 weeks into wearing undies and I haven't wanted to deal with running to bathrooms in strange places on my own either). Having Claire in our family definitely makes life better though.
