We made some new friends this summer. Maggie and her two boys, Dreson and Retton came to our ward in April and as soon as Jack saw them in Sacrament meeting he said, "Who are those guys? We need to meet them!" And that's where the friendship all started. After the closing prayer, he immediately booked it over to the boys to ask their names and introduce himself. After chatting with Maggie for a minute, she mentioned that her husband, Andre, played for the Dodgers. She said his name but I don't know any of the players, so I had no idea who he was, but Jay recognized the name. They live in Arizona during the off season and rent a place during the baseball season. They had always been over on the West side and this was the first time in our ward, which we were very happy about. Maggie and the boys made a lot of trips back to AZ since Andre was gone a lot, so we didn't play too much, but we were so glad to get to know them over the last 6 months. A few days before the Ethiers moved back to Arizona for the year, Maggie invited us to a Dodger game and we ended up going to the very last Dodger game of the season. We had a great time and it was a great game. We'll miss you, Maggie, Dre and Rett!!
