I told Jack a story the other night about how we visited an aquarium when he was just a few months old, and saw all sorts of fish and sea animals. The next day was Jay's day off, and Jack woke up and announced that we needed to go to the aquarium. Luckily, we have a small aquarium not too far from us that just asks for donations (unlike the Long Beach Aquarium, which is awesome but costs $20 a person). We drove down and checked out the aquarium. It wasn't too big but they have a tide pool, and Jack got to touch sea stars and anemones. He was a little scared to touch the sea urchins, but Jay and I tried it out and they give your finger a little hug. Pretty cool.
