July 4th Festivities

We were in Utah for the 4th of July for my older brother's wedding. The Friday before, we watched some awesome fireworks up in Logan with Jay's family. Jack liked it, but the show was a little long and lost his interest about 20 min into it.
The next day we went water skiing up in Idaho at Glendale Reservoir. It was a beautiful day and we had fun playing in the water, riding in the boat, and water skiing.
Can you see Jack through his life jacket? Poor thing...

On the 4th of July, we headed to the Riverside celebrations where we ate a great breakfast, played a few games (including fishing), and ate a snow cone.
That afternoon we headed south to enjoy a family BBQ with Seth, Jessica and both families. We went up Provo canyon and had this huge park area to play. The kids had a great time running around playing together, and the adults had a good time eating all the delicious food and chatting.

Afterward, we headed to my mom's house to light off our own fireworks that my brother-in-law, Jim, bought. Not only did we have great fireworks ourselves but since most fireworks are now legal in Utah, almost EVERYONE was setting them off all around us. We even got our very own private show from the neighbors that live directly across the street from my mom. I think seeing those fireworks going off all around us was a hundred times better than going to a firework show. We had front row seats, ate creamies, and had no traffic. It was a great 4th of July!
