On May 21 we took Jack to the LA Zoo. Jay and I had been a few years ago but haven't been back since. It was a beautiful day and Jack had a really good time. He wasn't as excited about the animals as we thought or hoped he'd be. I was excited for him to see the elephants since he's seen many pictures and likes to make his elephant noise, but he was pretty unimpressed with the elephants even though they were one of the best exhibits since the elephants were actually close and walking around. Right next to the elephants were some Siamang monkeys that were making a huge racket and Jack got really excited about that. All in all, even though Jack wasn't super excited by the animals, he did great and we had a really good time. Hopefully in a few months he'll be more excited to see animals and we'll go back to the zoo. :)
