We spent the next week with Jay's family helping with random wedding assignments- like making 150 cupcakes. We went water skiing on Friday afternoon to relieve some stress from all of the wedding planning, and then Saturday was Jim and Amanda's big day. Everything went so well except the fact that Jack needed a nap while we were taking pictures at the temple. I walked around the grounds holding him in a football hold while he was screaming until he finally fell asleep. After that I decided we needed to take his pack n' play to the church for the reception so we could put him down for a nap. It was a great reception and it was so nice to be with family. Congratulations, Jim and Amanda!
On Monday we went to Richmond to visit some friends from back in our newlywed days when we lived in Logan. Jon and Trisha Haws and their three adorable kids ( 3 1/2 year old twin boys Ean and Ezra, and cutie pie (almost) 1 year old Haven) had us over for dinner. Their house is beautiful, and I admire them so much since they pretty much built the whole house by themselves. We were ward missionaries with Jon and Trisha, and I also visit taught Trisha (the best church assignment I ever had because Trisha and my companion, Tobey, are amazing). We would pretty much just talk for hours on end about anything and everything. I love those two ladies and miss them so much! We were so glad to spend time with Jon and Trisha and catch up on what life has been like the past four years. Thanks again to the Haws family for having us over for dinner. We miss you!
The rest of the week was spent hanging out with family and water skiing. Jack took a few trips on the boat (he didn't actually go water skiing despite Grandpa wanting to get him up on skis) and I think he really liked it. He hated the water at Bear Lake so I was worried that he now had a fear of all water, but I think it was just the waves that frightened him.
On Thursday, we went to Cherry Hill with Jay's mom, my mom, and my two sisters, Shannan and Erin, and their kids. We had a great time, and the three little boys had fun in the lazy river. It was our first time there, and it was really fun!
Only one more post to go...
