A New Tradition

Last year on January 15, we bought our first car together. Honestly, the Infiniti was super nice and fancy, but we both felt like we were driving someone else's car (yes, we got suckered into buying it). We felt bad about putting miles on it, we felt bad about possibly ruining the leather seats, we hated the fact that it only got 18 MPG. So, sad and silly as it is, we've been talking about selling it since the day we bought it.

So, we finally sold the Infiniti and ended up buying a 2008 Toyota Prius yesterday and realized that it was exactly a year to the day since we had bought our Infiniti. We joked about how we started a new family tradition, but seriously we aren't planning on buying another car until the Buick dies on us and we have to get a car to replace it. Hopefully that won't be for many years to come.

On the "new mom" note, here are some things about Jack:

He is very patient
He is very calm and likes to be around people
He loves to be snuggled and kissed
He looks completely different with his eyes open and he gives the cutest faces.
He loves to suck on the back of his hands
He likes to have his feet tickled
He likes to grab his ears
When we try to give him a pacifier, he makes a face like it is the most disgusting thing in the world to him
He sometimes makes a mad face while he's sleeping, just like his mom
He sometimes sleeps with his mouth wide open, just like his dad
He is a super calm, fun baby

We are loving having him here. I can't believe it's already been a week since he was born. The time has flown by so fast already, I'm hoping the next 18 years don't go this quickly. And as every proud mom would, I wanted to post some random pictures of my baby that I'm sure no one else really cares about, but I'm posting them anyway. :)
