On Friday Jay and I went to our first Dodger game together. It was a little nostalgic for me since the Dodgers were playing the San Diego Padres, and the only other MLB game I've ever been to was the Padres in San Diego five years ago with my siblings. We had a really good time, but it was a sad game since the Padres won 2-0. We decided that since the tickets weren't expensive and we live so close, we definitely need to go more often. And what's even better is that on Friday nights they have fireworks, so we got to see a little show after the game. I even bought a ridiculously expensive Dodger Dog just to get the full experience.

On Saturday we made an impromptu trip to the beach since we figured we only have a few more days that we'll be able to go. It was a nice day at the beach and wasn't crowded at all. We both boogie boarded, and after boogie boarding for 20 minutes I realized that the few times I jumped on the board and bumped my belly that the baby might not like that too much. I decided to take a break and rest to make sure he was still doing ok. Luckily, he started moving all around so I knew that even though boogie boarding wasn't the smartest thing for me to do, he didn't mind too much.

Sunday we headed down to Redondo Beach to see our friends Heather and Tom bless their beautiful 2 month old baby girl, Shelby. We're sad that Heather and Tom aren't in our ward anymore, but so glad that they live less than an hour away. Tom did a great job with the blessing and we had fun hanging out with everyone after church. Thanks for inviting us, Tom and Heather!
On Monday we headed back to the beach with Seth and Jane. It was a little more crowded but the weather and the waves were great. Jane and I had a good time chatting and watching the boys boogie board. They caught some good waves and had a good time in the water.
Afterward we went back to Seth and Jane's and had a nice BBQ with Seth, Jane, Holly, Chris, and Whitney. What a great way to spend Labor Day!
