Easter Cantata

For Easter this year, three stakes in our area (including ours) sang an Easter Cantata during Easter weekend. I was too stubborn to go to the rehearsals since it was during the week and I didn't want to take the time to sing, but Jay sang with the choir and was chosen as one of the soloist. The cantata was titled "He is Jesus Christ" that Rob Gardner, a member of the church, started writing while he was on his mission and has been working on for the past ten years. I was able to go to both the Saturday and Sunday performances this last weekend, and I have to admit I was sad I didn't sing. The music was beautiful and inspirational. It was great to really reflect on Christ's life and his sacrifice for us. It made me really reflect on the real reason we celebrate Easter, and I'm so glad Jay was involved and that we were able to be a part of that. If they decide to perform this again next year, I will definitely participate.

**If anyone is interested, I believe you can find the music on iTunes and Amazon.com**

That sounds amazing. And I am not surprised at all that Jay was a soloist. He is amazing, too! Next time you'll have to join him.

I have to agree with Holly, I was just sitting there, enjoying all the songs, and then out of nowhere jay starting singing and had me in tears! He did such an amazing job! It was so fun to see you too! We definItely need to get together. With the weather getting so hot, I think a beach trip is in order :)

I'm glad you enjoyed Easter. Mine was pretty uneventful. We had fast Sunday that day. I accompanied the choir when they sang for the prelude and the closing song. I also taught SS that day. Nothing much to write home about.
