Mamma Mia!

I love ABBA. Love them. I grew up listening to them. So when I heard that there was a play that was all ABBA music, I knew I wanted to see it but haven't had the chance. When the movie came out I really wanted to go watch it, just to check it out. I finally was able to go on Friday. I had heard that some of the actors couldn't really sing and that a lot of people were very critical of the movie. I went just to have fun- and that's exactly what happened. It was silly and funny, and I had a blast. What made it even more fun was that I knew all the songs, and I was of course singing along in my head and out loud at some points, much to Jay's chagrin I'm sure. Ever since Friday night, I've been singing ABBA songs and I even found some songs online yesterday to listen to as I cleaned our apartment. I love when you can find a movie that makes you laugh, sing, and think to yourself, "That was so silly" all at the same time.

Lee took her girls to Mamma Mia after we got home from the Rogue. she bought the soundtrack, which we listened to all the way to Westwater. She said she really liked the movie, too. I guess I'd better go see the movie so I know what all the rave is about!

Wait - that's my music. Isn't that when I was growing up? I LOVED the movie, too. I thought it was heart-warming and hilarious. I went with 12 girlfriends, and most of us were singing along - some very loudly, umh, anyway, I got the soundtrack from my friend, and LOVE listening to it!

Go ABBA! I think that makes the movie so much fun when you go into it with that kind of attitude. There is nothing more frustating than being told something is so fabulous and then being totally let down. It sounds like a really fun chick flick! (Jim would rather fight a grizzly bear than go see a movie like that!)
