Spring Break- Day 5 and 6

Wednesday, March 12- I decided to take the day off from to take advantage of the opportunity to spend time with some of our family. So, we decided to drive down to the Long Beach Aquarium. Shannan had told me how much fun this was, but I didn't realize just how much fun until we had been there for a while. They actually let you touch some of the bat rays and sting rays, anemones, and sharks. Ask any of the boys and they'll tell you I was a nervous and scared at first to touch the rays, just because they're slimy and I'm always afraid I'll get bitten. But I didn't, and being able to touch the rays and sharks was way worth the risk.
I really liked the jelly fish and sea horses, and Jay really liked the sea dragons.

But one of my most favorite things about our visit was the sawfish. It's kind of half ray and half shark, and her "saw" has teeth around it just like a real saw. She was very beautiful, and I thought she was awesome. We were able to see the sharks, rays, fish, and sawfish get fed, so I'm going to try and post a video at the bottom that shows the sawfish and a shark eating.
It was an awesome day at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Here is one last collage of some fun and silly pictures we took. In case you're wondering, Jay is imitating the dolphins that you see behind him in the fountain.

After the aquarium, we headed to City Walk by Universal Studios.

Day 6- Thursday, March 13- Jay, Jess, and Jim headed to the Hollywood Walk of Fame to see if they could find Jim a t-shirt. The one he bought said "LA County Jail." Very appropriate. The boys also went to the Grove, which is just a big outdoor mall, and then they were off to Utah to the snow. Thanks for coming, Jim and Jess! We hope you'll visit us again soon.
